Who We Are

To be a NEUROMANCER is to ‘fall in love with divergency’. Anyone can be a NEUROMANCER, but these are the people responsible for organising this space. We are not ‘volunteers’, we do not ‘donate’ our time because we do not exist within the oppressive paradigms of charity. We practice Peer Solidarity and mutual aid in the understanding that community work is just as, if not more, important than capitalist work. Capitalist work can sometimes help us survive in the now; community work will ensure we thrive in the future. Evolving society through community work is one of the only true obligations we have to ourselves, those around us, and the generations coming up. Meet just some of the team below…

Aiyana Goodfellow

co-founding director of NEUROMANCERS

Aiyana (he/she/they) is a writer, liberator, and DELINQUENT artist and organiser based in London, UK. They founded NEUROMANCERS in 2021, at the age of 15, in an effort to create a Black-led abolitionist solar system for neurodivergent people. His work within the organisation centres Peer Solidarity, a concept coined by Aiyana to describe an elevated form of peer support which combines community healing with political education, and extends beyond it through their many other projects: www.aiyanagoodfellow.com

    SOLAR SURVIVAL SUPPORT COORDINATOR

    Eshe Kiama Zuri is an uneducated Black non-binary disabled grassroots activist. They are the founder of Co-Care Project fka UK Mutual Aid, the Black-run and activist-forward support network for marginalised people running since 2018. Eshe is also a chef, an emergency doula and is actively involved in many projects and campaigns. Eshe is the creator of the term 'full spectrum community care', a concept that not just speaks on, but actively shows, the importance for building communities from the bottom up and tearing down and replacing saviourism and oppressive structures with practical, supportive and sustainable alternatives that prioritise marginalised communities. www.eshekiamazuri.com

    Rae (they) is a mad neurodistinct disabled queer dreamer of interdisciplinary visions and anarcho-abolitionism. They mainly write, but live for music, film and canine affection.

    CREATIVE COLLECTIVE & CONSTELLATION CO-FACILITATOR

    Anisa (she/her) is an abolitionist with autism & ADHD. UK born, of Indian, Greek Cypriot & Maltese heritage, cis, queer, figuring it out. She has a masters in human rights law, but is much more focused on how communities can support and liberate eachother outside of formal institutions.

    COMMUNITY OUTREACH COORDINATOR

    Mellie / Mel is a neurodivergent, queer Taishanese American that lives in a rainy, cloudy town. A dreamer and a night-time enthusiast, Mellie works as a community educator in the day and dreams of liberation at night. She greatly appreciates spaces that center disabled, QTBIPOC communities.

    CONSTELLATION CO-FACILITATOR

    sef (they/them) is an autistic, ADHD, bipolar II, and hypermobile nonbinary person currently living on unceded Yurok land. When sef isn't organizing with NEUROMANCERS, they work for an autistic-centered friendship and dating app called Hiki, run a personal blog @sefscatterbrain and vegan food blog @stovegremlin, offer 1-to-1 lived experience support, and tattoo anyone brave enough to let them. Despite being chronically exhausted and gay, they still manage to get jazzed about collective liberation, childcare, anarchist eco villages, and garlic.

    AC is a white, English, British citizen, middle class & Queer, Disabled, Neurodivergent person, aiming to work daily to dismantle their unearned white social advantages.

    CONSTELLATION CO-FACILITATOR

    Mia (zi/zin/they/them) is a white human who is passionate, creative, and committed to collective liberation and community care. Zi is from the United States but is now based in Austria. Zi studied herbalism, visual arts, health and healing, horticulture, and trained as a doula. They have worked in childcare, on an organic farm, in food service, direct sales, and pet care. They became disabled from work several years ago. Zins dream is to someday live in intentional community close to nature. Until then, zi spends their days radically resting, enjoying good food, co-conspiring with liberation leaders, doing crafts, and following their special interests.

    Thema

    CONSTELLATION CO-FACILITATOR

    Thema (she/her) (prounounced Tay-ma) is a 35 year old lesbian, driven by justice and education, particularly when it comes to Black LGBTQIA+ issues. She runs the Multi-dimensional Minds Constellation with a view of hoping that others that experience psychosis and schizophrenia spectrum disorders have a place to speak free from judgement.

    CREATIVE COLLECTIVE & CONSTELLATION CO-FACILITATOR

    Latrice (she/they) is a non-binary queer based in Colorado. They were diagnosed with bipolar II in their 20s and discovered that she was both an autistic person and living with inattentive ADHD aged 36. They are an animal lover, transitioning from working in the animal care field to a career in journalism. She hopes to use her journalism skills as a platform to create true positive change in the world. They love all things related to art and creativity.

    Helios

    CONSTELLATION CO-FACILITATOR

    Helios (iel/she) is a non-binary butch sapphic crip living in Switzerland. Iel is a white, late-diagnosed AuDHDer, living with facial scarring. She is an unemployed teacheress due to bigotry combined with access needs for iel to hold down employment. She's fueled by passion, love and anger for the struggle of marginalized folx. Working towards collective liberation - like Black femmes have been educating all of us since ever - will eventually liberate all of us, respectively no one is free until we all are. Trans*feminine folx have always been on the forefront for social change and struggled for privileges of 2SLGBTQIA+ people today bit for bit, by just surviving, engaging and uplifting community, so engaging here, sharing iels experience and learning from fellow marginalized folx is part of engaging in liberation and helps her embodied experience to deal with structural violence, which she faces daily in different forms and intensities.

    River (they, them, he) is a mixed (Muslim, Jewish and Indigenous – Amazigh) queer crip writer and musician based in the UK. They studied politics, philosophy and history and have both formal and informal experience with peer support in a range of settings. They have special interests in radical philosophy and politics, especially abolitionism/anti-capitalism and are passionate about community building. Their hobbies include skateboarding, gardening, and DIY.

    hillary (they/them) is a community oriented black dyke living in london. they are a student of the black radical tradition and are constantly learning and growing. they are passionate about youth liberation, crip activism and forging expansive and caring community relationships. they love playing sports, reading afrofantasy, cooking and making things like candles and lip balm. they are known to cross the same street multiple times to stay in the sun. they hold various roles as a community member including being a peer mentor, group facilitator and educator.

    MEDIA OUTREACH COORDINATOR

    saumya (she/they) is a south-asian (indian) disabled, neuroqueer, non-binary cyborg(esque) adult with pale skin and constantly changing hair colour. they dabble in content creation on the cyberspace, academia (reluctantly), and organizing based on their capacity. all of their work, however diverse, is disjointedly linked like a rhizomatic assemblage emerging from a critical questioning of the world /society/cosmos/cyberspace from an anti-oppression, disability justice, and intersectional perspective. they are committed to deprogramming and unlearning structures of white supremacy and brahminical patriarchy. to check out their work, visit their blog, bilingual Hindi/English podcast, master’s thesis, and subscribe to their regular email letter.

    CONSTELLATION CO-FACILITATOR

    Nicole (they/them) is a non-binary, queer, Mad, white Magyar person, and an elder millennial. Nicole is a Peer Support Provider who advocates for the re-radicalization of Peer Support. Their politics are rooted in abolition, liberation, and a bit of anarchy. They are neurodivergent, disabled, chronically ill, have a history of complex trauma, and are a psychiatric survivor. They are a first generation settler in Colonial Canada and live on Treaty 13 (aka Toronto), with their non human companion Álmos. Nicole is a published poet and a photographer who loves to make music.

    Jess (they/them) is a non-binary and neurospicy storyteller from the Philippines. They recently relocated to Scotland in their artistic/activist/academic pursuit of doing Mad Studies.

    CONSTELLATION CO-FACILITATOR & PEER SOLIDARITY PRACTITIONER

    maya (they/them) is a mad, autistic and chronically ill white 28 y/o anti-zionist jew living in the north east US. they spend a lot of time thinking about how we relate to the living + inanimate things around us and geek out about nervous system health, herbs, collective powers and liberatory futures. maya is a full-spectrum doula and care worker who supports birth and abortion experiences in their local community. they will be co-facillatating a constellation group for people who use drugs and offering 1:1 peer solidarity. on an average day you can find maya snacking, walking with their spirited pup listening to slow jams.

    Trayle (she/her) is an older white person living in France with an American passport. She is Autistic, Mad, and often in pain. She works to create disability positive (sub?)cultures, especially in education. When she’s not masking, she does her best to love her fatness, do nothing, and make art.

    Jia is a non-binary woman whose very passionate about many things; horror, bugs, art, video games, the cycle of death and life— just to name a few. She loves being able to show love in the most patient and mad ways possible.

    CONSTELLATION CO-FACILITATOR & PEER SOLIDARITY PRACTITIONER

    mad, trans, neuroqueer, AuDHD, plural being and artist. They are latinx/white person living in the UK, they are psychiatric survivor and abolitionist dreaming of liberated futures. They are mostly uneducated but have learned rich lessons from fungi, readings, community, interactions, connecting and from dissociated universe traversing. New to formal community work, but ze is guided by the need for collective liberation, and is passionate about a shift away from capitalism, carceral practices and western-centric colonial power. They also enjoy drinking and growing teas and helping out on a community food forest plot.

    CONSTELLATION FACILITATOR

    Pedal m. is an artist, psychiatric survivor, and organizer. They moved across the continental US as a child and grew up primarily in the Lenape land area colonized as New York City. They write, paint, curate, and research, with interests in care work and prison abolition. They are a Healing Justice Leader with the Release Aging People in Prison Campaign and co-lead Box Elder Community Room in Cincinnati OH. pedalmiranda.com

    CONSTELLATION FACILITATOR & PEER SOLIDARITY PRACTITIONER

    Anastasía is a white english and greek islander and a neurodiverse rebellious fae committed to collective liberation leaving no one out or behind. We free us! They are a traveller and anarcho communist pirate currently dwelling on the canals of London (and sometimes floating by the ocean on the greek islands). Fae are a wordsmith poet and doodler and community weaver. You can find fiz barefoot wandering in the forest, making communal fyres, dancing in the streets and playing flute with the wind. They dreams and travels to the liminal spaces and is passionate about reclaiming missing histories through queer madness to thyme warp expansive futures into being.

  • Mx. Saturnia

    PEER SOLIDARITY PRACTITIONER

    Mx. Saturnia (they/them) is a Black queer, disabled, trans/nonbinary person based in occupied Turtle Island (U.S.). They are self-diagnosed with AuDHD (autism & adhd) and is a proud member of the spoonie delegation. They are deeply invested in the lifelong work towards betterment of the world for people of the global majority (talking about liberation and community centered care is one of their main special interests!). Saturnia feels joy / has fun by watching anime, talking with other folks interested in liberation praxis, reading queer comics, and playing animal crossing.

    PEER SOLIDARITY PRACTITIONER

    Star is a collective in a disabled trans nonbinary body. They study Hilot and are currently doing their DIY PhD. Utilising madness as their tool for clarity and creativity. Living in the UK, they are unemployed and a struggling artist. They honour authenticity and depolarisation as integral to our collective revolution.
