Solar Survival Support

As a Black led community organisation, centring multiply marginalised BPOC through mutual aid and wealth redistribution is paramount to our approach to justice. NEUROMANCERS have set-up Solar Survival Support Grants, sending funds directly to neurodivergent individuals who need aid.

  • Survival is anything that helps us to live, in the most full ways we can. We survive by any means necessary. NEUROMANCERS defines some of these things as community & shelter; healing & healthcare; cultural foods; affirming clothing; political education; joy, rest and nourishment.

Your needs to not have to be urgent for your to request support.

  • The Solar Survival Fund offers mini-grants of up to £50 to those in need of mutual aid. We offer four grants per month.

Please note, we are NOT a service but a community initiative run by multiply-marginalised Black activists. We urge you to exhaust all options (both state and charity) before applying here. We will be prioritising people with no recourse to public funds.

Applications for support are open for one week per month. By the end of each month all applicants will have received a reply to their request. We are not able to offer crisis/emergency aid at this time and your needs to do not have to be urgent to request support.

We highly encourage white people to engage in wealth redistribution by donating to the Survival Support Fund.

  • This initiative is for UK based, neurodivergent and neuroexpansive BPOC only*. We prioritise dark-skinned, Black, queer, trans, disabled, or otherwise multiply marginalised people but do what we can to assist everyone.

Applications are open to active members of the NEUROMANCERS community. When applying you will be asked how you contribute to and are involved in this community.

Your needs do not have to be urgent for you to request support.

*We use ‘BPOC’ as an umbrella term to describe people who are Black, mixed race, white-passing, of the global majority, of the Asian diaspora, of the Afrikan diaspora. We use ‘neurodivergent’ a a word that includes and is not limited to mad, mentally ill, autistic, ADHD, dyspraxic, dyslexic, tourettic, NPD, BPD , neuro-curios individuals.
